Download Youtube Videos with IDM Using Proxy
If youtube is blocked in any country then you can still download youtube videos. In this tutorial I’ll share the steps to download youtube videos.
How to Download Youtube Videos
Now when Youtube is blocked in some countries. People often use proxy tools (Ultrasurf, Hotspot sheild or hide ip). Then many people are facing issues while download from youtube by IDM. Because IDM needs to be configured to download youtube videos when on proxy.
Youtube Downloader Steps
if you haven’t install IDM then first you need to install it. You can download IDM from below button.
If you are not already using any proxy then I suggest you to follow below link to unblock youtube.
Make sure IDM is Complete. You can follow steps in read me document of its folder.
Run Ultrasurf and wait until it is connected.
Open IDM and go to Option button.
Click the “Proxy/Socks” Tab and hit button “Get From IE”
Then press OK and Close the options.
Now Open Youtube in browser.
You’ll see IDM link on corner of youtube video. Click it and youtube video downloading will begin successfully.

Disclaimer:
Note that in general, downloading other people’s videos posted on YouTube is not allowed. It is illegal. However, you can legally download your own uploads with above method.

if you are using google chrome browser then after installing IDM you need to go to google chrome options > settings. then click on extensions option. find IDM there. and make sure you check the box of enabled.
after this you ll be able to see a button of IDM downloader on top of youtube videos.
i hope it helps. it worked for me though.

helo TM… thank u for help but m facing quite some issues!
i am using ultrasurf for unblocking youtube and its working totally fine for me .but i cant download the video!
i did these settings to my IDM nd when clicked it says Could Not Find Proxy configuration in google chrome settings.. and it shows no download button when m using google chrome ..when i use internet explorer there does appear the idm download button but after downloading video doesn’t play.. i have proper nd latest VLC player installed in my system and when it still didn’t work i tried converting video in to all possible video formats ,none of them worked except WMV and 3GP ,but in both cases my video lost it volume.plz plz plz help me ,m in very much need of downloading videos for youtube! thank u!
After running ultrasurf when youtube is unblocked.
Open IDM settings and go into Proxy settings. Click the button Get from IE and then save and exit settings.
After that restart chrome and open youtube then download button will appear and it will start downloading. Also updated IDM extension for google chrome- #31 written by martman 12 years ago

Hi there, as YouTube has been blocked in Pakistan so I have been using Hotspot Shield to open it. But, unfortunately, for the last few days, Hotspot stopped working. After browsing on net, I found Ultra Surf 13.01 and now I can open YouTube but can’t download the videos. Though, I have changed the proxy settings of IDM but still not successful. I will really appreciate your kind advice. Regards

asslam o alikum sir/madam my problem is that:
when i instal ultrasurf for using youtube but through ultrasurf youtube did not open because i used cable net dsnl form net provider .
and i use net through proxy server.
