Hi, Sujit. I’m in no way affiliated with this website, but I do use it quite often to download stuff. I can attest to the fact that DaVinci Studio will work if you do it correctly, and it’s shockingly easier than some of the other methods required for other stuff posted here. It’s just a matter of pulling over three files into the destination folder. It works, I assure you. I have Studio rocking on my laptop and it’s fantastic. Make sure you have Firewall and Defender OFF when you download the files initially. Keep trying, it’ll work eventually.

you didn’t mention your system specs. maybe on your system it’s “shockingly easy” but on somebody else’s is not. doesn’t mean they did anything wrong. Like you, I also have downloaded many apps here with no issues, but I had an issue with this one (posted elsewhere). It just might be related to that particular PC. Fortunately, I have several. Sometimes an app will install & run on a Win10 PC with 16 GB RAM fine but won’t on a Win7 PC with 8 GB, even though the app specs claim only 8 GB RAM minimum, etc.. High-end apps such as video editors, notoriously can be exasperatingly finnicky, producing error messages not simply a byproduct of user neglect or incompetence (re: “..if you do it correctly” ). I have an AutoDesk CAD app that is a gargantuan 8GB BEAST to install, but $4000 USD Dell Precision series laptops are manufactured directly to be able to handle that, and both mine do, with ease… It runs, but very labored though, on a Win7(x64)/8GBram system, even with 2 gb vid card. And that system by the way is actually a newer manufacturer release date. It’s not the size of dog in the fight it’s size of fight in the dog…

Computer specs in the context of my post are likely irrelevant. Sujit was couldn’t get past the file setup stage. Your points are relevant after installation, sure—how smoothly it will run, etc. I was letting the guy know that he should be able to successfully set up the program at least. The wording of his post implied a setup error—that’s likely human error rather than computer specs. Speaking of which, mine are average: i5, 8 GB. Nothing special there, but it runs OK. I suppose I could have just said “Hey, Sujit, old fellah, your computer specs are probably screwing it up”, but I doubt that’s the case. Hence, my prompting him to keep trying.

1st Run after Install Won’t Complete. Error Messages.
Attempted to Install on ::
– Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit)
– 8 GB RAM
– 2 GB nVidea Video CardI disabled both Firewall and Defender (before even downloading app).
(ERROR MESSAGE ( at 1st Run after install )
“The procedure entry point clEnqueueMarkerWithWaitList could not be located in the dynamic link library OpenCL.dll.”Tried BOTH, Replace or Rename OpenCL.dll from suggestions on YouTube videos about other apps with similar issue.
Either replacing or renaming of OpenCL.dll receives the following error message ::
(ERROR MESSAGE)
“The procedure entry point DeleteCriticalSection could not be located in the dynamic link library api-ms-win-core-synch-l1-2-0.dll.”*******
I also used Revo Uninstaller Pro and uninstalled DaVinci Resolve Studio 16 completely (including using scan after uninstall, etc..)
then re-installed.During the installation BOTH times, I WAS prompted by TRUSTED INSTALLER to confirm installing an “unsigned driver”. You know what that means.
I confirmed. (clicked Continue or Accept or similar).The installation completed like normal saying the install was successful.

. . . . . . WHAT..CAN..I..DO..ABOUT..THIS..PROBLEM..I..HAVE..DESCRIBED . . ? . ? . ????

I don’t use A/V. I prefer restoring from clean backups.
A/V slow down a pc, backups DON’T. My backup brand (AOMEI) is easy & fast.I have Ccleaner and occasionally run a variety of malware cleaning tools
such as malewarebytes, etc.
I have no known issues of any kind.
No Malware. No Viruses. Etc.
My PC runs fine. Fast. Good.
Except for issue mentioned above about DaVinci Resolve Studio 16.__ Thanks again guys… your site is still the best.. all around…

for wedding video editing or any kind of pro level editing you can use premiere pro 2020 for your below mentioned config,,, for 1st rendering and real time playback allways use high bit rate & memory clock graphics card . vinci resolve gives you a proper high bit color grading bt premiere pro also a verry good platform for pro level editing 🙂

Hi, can anyone or the admins help. I have Intel HD graphics 3000 and i aim to use Davinci for light video editing. Can anyone suggest what version I can download and when I installed the free version, I got an error saying “No OpenCL compatible GPU detected.”. Any help is appreciated. ( Or should I try other video editing softwares?)

You can always disable the network feature by creating ‘New Rule‘ for the program in the ‘Inbound Rules‘ and ‘Outbound Rules‘ in the ‘Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security‘.
Check how to do so in Youtube (eg. How to create inbound and outbound rules for Adobe Photoshop)By doing so, only the program’s access to the internet is disabled, hence there is no need to disable your connection at all.
Hope this works for you for Resolve. Worked for me on Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Don’t worry, I’ve tested it in a virtual machine and everything. There is no embedded malware or anything like that; the files are completely clean, and everything works like it’s supposed to.
