I have installed Windows 7 Pro and used my valid license that came originally with my laptop (after installing a new SSD, i wanted to upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit and my laptop does support 64-bit). Microsoft is identifying the install as Not Genuine so i do not have access to security updates, etc. Contacting Microsoft they tell me that I installed a retail copy but i need an OEM copy of the Windows 7 Software in order to have it Validate with Microsoft.
How can I resolve this issue?

sometimes when u create a vm in virtbox or vmware the vm forgets you assigned a image file (iso) to the ide dvd drive. if it happens u need to set it again in the vm settings. if you have put it in the vm settings and it’s a bootable image you vm should ask you to press for a button to boot from CD/DVD. you generally can’t or don’t need to setBIOS settings in vm products. if the image wont boot even if it’s selected in the vm settings, then try redownloading, if it persists, try another source.
Kat i think you’r doing something wrong, i just download the image to verify what you said, the image belong to windows 7 pro as described on description, here is the screen shot https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=A84194DD1881D1E5&id=A84194DD1881D1E5%213208&v=3

Hello Getintopc, Thank you first of all for making this available as an untouched version. My question is can I use this to repair my official Windows 64bit SP1 install without making my official version into a trial version. More specific when I run sfc /scannow it comes up with errors and then points me to use the original install disk to repair. I assuming yes is the answer but wanted to check first. Thanks In Advanced

Hi, my english is not the best, but I will try to explain my problem.
I have upgradet from win 7 professional to ultimate, now I want to downgrade to professional “again” and I have no DVD, just the product sticker on my notebook. I read that I have to lead to my notebook, that it has the Win 7 Professional. How did I do that? I don’t know how it is in english, but after you press the windows button and r at the same time, a new window opens… then I navigated to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersion (it took my more than 20 minutes to check what I am doing)
Then on the right side were some “things” listed… I had to change the EditionID and Product Name into Professional and Windows 7 Professional. I didn’t restart my notebook yet, but after a restart, nothing should happen with my system. My system should only have to have prepared settings to make a downgrade possible. Now I’m waiting for the ISO 64 bit download, and I really hope it works, because the only different way to get win 7 professional is to contact the device manufacturer for software recovery options. And I am not sure if this way will work. I bought my notebook on ebay. I know, I can stil contact the manufacturer, but I don’t wan’t to.When it works, I will inform you. If not, I hope you can help me to get win 7 professional.
Use Rufus to install.

Hi all;
I have a legitimate Windows 7 Pro x32 working fine on my computer.
Unfortunately, I deleted freecell.exe when I was over enthusiastic about cleaning out unwanted games.
sfc /scannow indicates that the actual file freecell, exe is missing.Microsoft community member suggested to get the file off another pc and copy it to the appropriate folder.
I did this, but the person sent me the file from a 64 bit machine and it will not work on my 32 bit computer. If you can help me, please send me a copy of the freecell.exe file from your computer.
You will find it in the folder:-C:Windowswinsxsx86_microsoft-windows-s..inboxgames-freecell_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_58481bbdfe2e6164
My Win 7 Pro x32 is legitimate, I have the original installation disk and license but I do not want to do a re-install.
Must be from a 32 bit installation.
Thank you, I look forward to your reply.

Hi, Fatima! I love your site. It looks like your link for 64 bit Windows 7 Pro has been hijacked by this link: http://filehoslguru.com/DedicatedRequest.php. I can’t get to the download. Thought you should know. Thanks again for the great site!

Hi Fatima, you say it’s the official untouched ISO, however, when I generated the MD5 hash for it, it doesn’t match the hash mentioned in this link (Win7 Pro 64bit)

Can you please tell me how to verify this ISO ? - #253 written by tecknohed 9 years ago
HI. i had the looping issue with windows 10. The installation had
been interrupted and I couldn’t get the setup to start. Then I looked in
the BIOS. In there it allowed me, via the boot menu to delete the
hardware. I put back the disc (usb stick in window 10 case) and because I
had deleted the drives in the bios the pc still read the disc (usb
dongle) and once they were loaded there I could see all partition! So I
deleted them. Then I kept the USB 10 stick in, pressed enter and it
started to install!!. It rebooted once during installation, a chance to
look at the BIOS. All disks were there, I put them in correct order, f10
when finished setup. No problem since. Seems u need to delete the
partition and reinstall. Luckily I could do that from from my BIOS. If
you cannot do that in your BIOS then maybe someone here knows how to
wipe the partition? You could try disabling all drives From the BIOS
then rebooting. Then if still nothing load optimized defaults (available
in al BIOS).Simpler way that might work is go to the BIOS, set
the install disc at the top and boot from it. That may take you the the
partitions after loading files then u can delete the partions there. In
fact just thought of that. I went the long way around lol good luck! - #257 written by Setitai Sorovaki 8 years ago
