Hi, I have a question, first of all your site is fantastic, great to have these programs available.
Big Brother is so hungry for money, its hard to find any download places anymore, even for TV or
movies, not to mention ,music.
I have a problem. last week, I was cleaning out the computer with thoughts of upgrading to vista, then win 7,
I have both. but the boot time was so slow, I decided to use all my scans first, I have Zone alarm pro firewall,
Avast AV, AdAware, Malwarebytes, Rootkit, and run spybot S&D about every other week.
Well, I decided to disable some services which were using a bunch of the system, BUT, getting older, I made
the big mistake of not getting a list first, which I couldn’t find quickly, and disabled too many services,
of which was Network logon, RPC AND RPC LOCATOR, plus others, needless to say when I rebooted
I had a mess. I found software to reenable some services, but not the important ones, I also lost the Paste
option, both cd/dvd drives, only have one or two usb ports that work, and still can use safemode, and
active @ bootdisk to move things around. I downloaded your winxp home program which is what is
on this computer as well as another I have. but only was able to use firefox which downloads to its
own file, so using active @ I copied the file to usb, used the other computer, used winrar, then
burnt the image to CD, on the F8 page, it has options of usb/onboard geez forget, usb device, plus other
choices, I tried the usb device, no luck, went right to C-A-D to reboot, then the usb CD but it started to load,
then hit the wall, blue screen error 000000×7, so, back I went copied the CD to an extra usb hard drive,
rebooted, but had to go to safe mode, ok, worked fine until reboot time, now I cannot get to winxp setup, only
the original OS. so if you know anything I can do to get around this, I would really appreciate any input.
the last resort would be to buy an exact match hard drive, swap C to D slot, format, install winxp then the 100 plus
programs I have by hand one by one, UGH….that is why I am trying to upgrade the winxp sp3 disc, and deal with
the missing updates by using Belarc to tell me which ones are now gone, the search the net for the KB numbers.
so there it is, I hope someone has an answer or suggestions. other than the new hard drive route.
thanks for reading

Hello Mr tom,
the reason you have a such slow boot up is because you have a lot of antivirus and antyspyware installed, which isn’t recommended, You should never run more than one antivirus program at the same time. The two programs could slow down your computer, and they might even identify each other as a virus, which could lead to file corruption or other conflicts and errors that make your antivirus protection less effective—or not effective at all.- #58 written by Shívám Mãdäâñ 11 years ago

Hi Fatima, thanks for this site and the downloads. My pc got compromised with a ransomvirus and could not open any of my files. So I took my laptop to the shop and asked the guy to reformat and re-install my XP Home from th eoriginal CD. But that guy installed Win XP Pro SP3. I have since updated it to the latest updates (I think). Now my problem is it does not shutdown…it simply hangs after logging off and says “…shutting down”. If I want re-install Home from here, do I need to reformat again?

I have a licensed install of WinXP SP3; but it has been corrupted. I loaned my OEM install disc to a guy
who moved shortly and never returned my install disc. I only need to do a repair; but your XP image does not offer
the Repair function…I tried it. My problem is that in Services, “Remote Prodecure Call” has been greyed out. I cannottherefore invoke the “Help and Support” function and when I get the monthly “Mallicious Software Removal Tool”; Microsoft does not recognize that it has been downloaded and so the yellow shield keeps appearing in the system tray. I’ve been looking online for an XP SP3 install disc without any success. Any suggestions???
Did you try this one for repair?

This one is completed I guess. Well have you tried this one?
