Windows ISO show only Readme files when you try to view them. Don’t worry. Install using Rufus.
Just make sure MD5 is same.

Have you tried opening Windows 7 Official ISO files from Linux or ISOMaster?
They only show single Readme file.
I understand they are complete archive files just like zip. All iso files except Windows show all files. But in case of Official Windows. Here is the preview of ISO I get in ISOMaster.

I agree. May be in my Ubuntu the ISO only show Readme file when I open it using isomaster.
But When I open the ISO with archive Manager they show all files in Ubuntu. So I think it is some issue with isomaster tool.

If your motherboard supports only 32 bit. Then it may not work.

I could only find 64 bit. Now a days most people prefer 64 bit for better perfomance. If you have ram greater than 2GB then always go for 64 bit.

first make sure your download was completed 100%? Use IDM to download. Secondly there is no need to extract ISO. You just need to make USB Bootable by rufus or burn it over DVD

No it can be installed on all machines. Only difference is that on Dell Machines the license will be automatically picked up from BIOS

There are many versions of Windows 7 Ultimate with different sizes. This Del version appears to be huge with 5.2 GB size. Why is it so big?

  It doesn’t work for me in VirtualBox, and doesn’t work for someone who suggested this site to me (I asked him to test it) either. It crashes while starting Windows with an unknown error, fail code 0xc0000255. I’ve searched the error on Google but nobody had it who was installing Windows 7.

        Yes your MD5 is correct. Your download is complete. Are you using Latest version of Virtualbox?

So does this ISO require a COA to be entered, as most all Dell OEM media doesn’t, notably the many Green ‘XP Pro SP2’ for Dell computers only? One could actually downgrade, if desired, from Vista Business with this CD & be legit, don’t know about Windows 7 Pro, since it was far more popular & even more so now.
In particular, am hoping this will work on a Dell Optiplex 740. I’m sure that it would on a 780, as that’s the OS it shipped with.

Your processor shouldn’t be a problem. The base required processor is at least 1 GHz. The 1.5 GB of RAM is 25% less than the lowest recommended memory size. I would boost the memory for sure
