Visual Basic 6.0 Free Download

How to install vb 6.0 on Windows 10 computer (the same way for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1):

1. Download zipped file setup of vb 6.0 Enterprise edition from http://getintopc.com/softwares/development/visual-basic-6-0-free-download/
2. Use winrar to extract original setup file to your memory stick as a backup
3. Rename file setupwiz.ini into setupwizold.ini
4. Create a copy of setupwiz.ini and change its contents by means of notepad editor as follows:

5. Save modified setupwiz.ini and copy it to its original location in the main folder of the extracted setup
6. Copy the whole folder with setup files including the modified setupwiz.ini file into one folder on the C: drive.
7. Download free browser Mozilla Firefox via Microsoft Edge (replacement of Internet Explorer in Windows 10) and install it on your computer
8. Make Mozilla Firefox your default browser
9. Disable UAC and restart computer
10. If you disable UAC, Microsoft will not work, that is why you need Mozilla Firefox istead
11. Run setup.exe inside the main folder of the setup from C: drive
12. Follow the steps on the screen until it asks you to input the program ID, your name and your company name
13. if setup started installation without asking you the program ID, that means that the setup may stop responding shortly afterwards
14. If it stops responding, click on the screen until Windows message appears proposing you either to “exit setup” or to “continue waiting until it responds”
15. Select “exit setup” and when you exit setup, start it again until it asks you to input program ID, your name and company name
16. The correct program ID of this copy of the setup for vb 6 is 111 1111111, i.e. fill in three times “1” in the first cell on the screen and seven times “1” in the second cell and then fill your name, and your company name (you can leave it blank if you dont have one)
17. Continue all steps of the setup until it asks you to restart your PC, and then click “yes”.
18. After your PC has been restarted just follow instructions on the screen until it asks you to select which installation to choose: “Custom”, “Standard”, etc.
19. Then choose which capabilities of the program you want to use (Visual basic,C++, Html {cant remember it all}) *less features you select, less time you need for installation… then it may take 1~2minutes to complete installation, however it depends on capabilities of the PC itself.
20. Wait until setup is completed.
21. If you use windows 8 or 10, on Apps screen will see a lot of program installed by this VB6.0, and to open VB6.0 just click on the Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0.
22. If shortcuts did not appeared on you screen, then create them manually by right clicking on the executable files. for example on vb6.exe/
