Hello Admin/Patrons,
I decided to post concerning the activation and runtime operation of Acunetix. I’ve used this particular scanner since 2012, so I have much experience with it. There seems to be confusion in regard to the installation, and subsequent use of the application in general. I can only say that this is due to many of the installers either failing to follow the installation instructions, or just not being familiar with installing cracked software overall. I’m not going to post installation instructions here since the included instructions are accurate. However, I will post screenshots showing that the scanner is not only fully functional, but I’m also using it with Avira’s VPN (from this site), which is also fully functional. In addition, I’m using a public WIFI connection to perform the scan. The problem lies in the patching. You must turn off the Acunetix Service using the Task Manager BEFORE you apply the patch to the installation directory. Also, the patch is written in an obscure language, so you really cannot distinguish one function from the next. This is where your experience in cracking software comes into play. The correct button is the first one to the left, I’ve taken a screenshot for your information. Just copy the patch to the installation directory, stop the Acunetix Services (Application, and Database Services), and launch the patch with Administrator privileges. You must also be aware of the settings you use when initially installing Acunetix. If you don’t understand what you’re doing completely, leave the defaults in place, don’t change anything. Lastly, be sure that the local port that Acunetix uses local port 3443, is unchanged, and that another application isn’t using the same port for any runtime operations. If the port is being used by another application the scanner will fail. Good luck…
